Protection rules

Understand the protection settings that should be reviewed before a snipe.

Protection settings help you avoid obvious unsafe trades, but they do not guarantee a safe token or profitable execution.

Common controls

  • Slippage tolerance
  • Token risk checks
  • Liquidity checks where available
  • Buy and sell tax signals
  • Max buy, max sell, or wallet-limit signals where available
  • Route and chain validation
SignalWhat Dexfy checks
Honeypot behaviorWhether the token can be bought and sold through the selected DEX route.
Buy and sell taxObserved output compared with expected output, reported as buy and sell tax basis points.
Transfer taxWhether a token transfer loses value, including transfer-fee behavior where detectable.
LiquidityPool address, native liquidity value, and liquidity in USD when the engine can resolve it.
Max buy, max sell, max walletDetected amount limits and wallet-limit behavior where the chain and DEX route support probing.
Solana Token-2022 extensionsTransfer fee and transfer hook fields when available from the Solana token metadata.

How to use protection rules

Treat protection as a required review step. If a token shows unclear or failed checks, pause and investigate before trading.
